Install and activate either plugin

  1. Download the purchased .rbz file using the link on your purchase page or in your licence email.
  2. In desktop SketchUp, open Extension Manager → Install Extension and select the .rbz file.
  3. Restart SketchUp. Open Edging Pro or Stone Placer from the Extensions menu or its toolbar.
  4. Paste your licence key and click Activate. Use the same key supplied with your purchase.
  5. For a bundle, install both extensions and activate each with the bundle key.

Desktop SketchUp with Ruby extensions is required. Web and iPad are not supported. Activation requires internet access, and the licence must reconnect at least once every seven days.

Create your first run

  1. Select connected edges forming a line, arc or loop. Open any containing group first.
  2. Open Edging Pro and click Use selection.
  3. Choose edging, material, dimensions, jointing and placement side.
  4. Choose Flush with path, 20 mm above or a custom top offset.
  5. Check the preview, then click Create edging.

Review highlighted units on tight bends. Bricks and kerbs keep their true dimensions; they cannot bend like steel.

Edit the detail.

How do I change a saved edging run?

Select the outer Edging Pro group, then Use selection or right-click → Edit with Edging Pro. Change settings and click Update edging. Generated contents are replaced, including manual edits inside the run. Save your SketchUp file to retain the run and its settings.

How do I apply my own material?

Paint the outer Edging Pro group, then choose Apply group material in the panel. Apply it to This run or All Edging Pro runs. Jointing stays separate. Custom paint overrides preset colour variation; use Use preset finish for this run to restore a built-in finish.

How do I model raised edging beside a patio?

Use a path at the patio reference height, then choose Top relative to path. Select 20 mm above or enter a custom offset. Positive values raise the run; negative values lower it. Depth is the full product height measured down from its top. Repeated updates do not add the offset again.

Where is the toolbar?

Restart SketchUp after installation. On Windows, check View → Toolbars → Edging Pro. On Mac, check View → Tool Palettes → Edging Pro. If it is missing, check that the extension is enabled in Extension Manager and send us any loading error.

What does Smooth curve change?

Off follows the selected segments. On interpolates gradual bends and can move the run slightly away from the original edges. Square and rectangular units still step around curves. Keep it off when following the selected segments exactly matters.

What are the current limitations?

Use one connected, unbranched path at a time. Level and sloping runs are supported. Rigid units cannot bend; check tight bends and gradient changes in the preview. Closed loops can adjust joint spacing. Steel can form a continuous strip or 1 m sections. Saved paths are snapshots, not live links to loose edges.

My download or installation needs help.

Install and use Stone Placer

  1. Install the supplied Stone Placer .rbz through desktop SketchUp’s Extension Manager, then restart SketchUp.
  2. Open Stone Placer, paste the purchase licence key and activate it on this computer.
  3. Open Stone Placer and choose Pond rocks, Wall caps / coping, or Quoins / Cornerstones.
  4. Select a level ledge, wall top or centreline, or a vertical square corner edge.
  5. Set dimensions, material and jointing. Preview the result, then create the stones.
  6. Select the saved group to update the arrangement later.

Natural jointed coping is upright. Coping can follow curves and mitred square corners in Stone Placer. Quoins are added geometry and do not cut away the original wall. Review the preview before creating the stonework.
